License
The two-tier model and modes are summarised on the
License page. The dsviper runtime carries the SPDX
identifier LicenseRef-DigitalSubstrate-Commercial-1.2; the full
text and common provisions (warranty, liability, termination) live on the
documentation site.
Governed by French law; exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bordeaux.
Third-party components
The dsviper runtime statically links ANTLR 4 C++ runtime (BSD-3-Clause), Stephan Brumme's hash-library (zlib-style), nlohmann/json (MIT), and SQLite (public domain). Inclusion does not re-license these components — each retains its original license. The complete third-party notices file is shipped inside the dsviper wheel and published on the documentation site.
Other DevKit components carry their own dependencies — notably the Python GUI
tools (dsviper-tools, dsviper-components) use PySide6, which dynamically links
Qt under LGPL v3. Each repository's LICENSE and
THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES files document its specific dependencies.
